There may be several reasons why this error message appears:

the link to the document is open multiple times in the browser on 1 or more devices
the user tried to sign again too soon after 1 or more failed attempts to sign.
another signing method is chosen too quickly after a signing method has already been started
too many reminders in a short period of time

We recommend to close all browser windows containing this document and give the 'sessions' time to close automatically. Try again after 15 minutes.
